Softcom’s team developed the LLMS (Leveraging System Performance Metrics and Execution Logs) project to proactively diagnose performance issues in complex system architectures. LLMS focused on analyzing a novel logfile and performance metrics correlation engine using data mining techniques, specifically investigating its applicability to ESOC systems. The project included the design and development of a software prototype for the correlation engine, as well as a thorough performance characterization across both general-purpose and ESOC-specific use cases, applied on logfiles from ESOC Ground Data Systems, including SIMSAT, DARC, and EDDS.
For this project, Softcom leveraged a range of technologies such as Java SE 8, C++, BASH, AWK, Maven, Apache Tomcat, MySQL Server, SystemTap, DTrace, and JMX to create a robust solution capable of proactive diagnostics in critical ground systems.
This initiative demonstrates Softcom-Int’s commitment to innovative solutions in system performance monitoring and proactive issue detection, supporting ESOC in maintaining high operational standards.
