Space 4.0

The SPACE 4.0 project focuses on the development of integrated and technologically advanced and innovative space applications and services. One of its sub-projects is a cloud-based platform that provides flexible facilities for the processing of satellite payload data (PDGS). It guides the user through processing of the satellite EO data while letting them process it as they wish. As part of this sub-project, Softcom Competitiveness International researched suitable implementation methodologies and frameworks for the parallelization of payload processors. Of particular importance was the comparison of their characteristics & advantages/ disadvantages for use in a PDGS cloud system. Softcom Competitiveness International created prototypes of the parallel algorithm for PDGS processors using the different methodologies and frameworks according to the research.

The project duration was 18 months and the contribution of Software Competitiveness International is completed successfully.
